No i don't think they are that good. Gene berg did all these tests and found the bosch plugs to still be the best.
The bosch super 4's are suppose to be proven to be one of the best plugs out there and less than half price over the iridium plugs.
Question is? can you even get supper 4's for vw or even 3/4" version? I don't know.

I use them in my VW engines. (also the motorbike). The main advantage I found was that becuase they are irridium, they run a much finer tip, almost
like the oldschool race plugs. I found this stopped plugs from oiling up as much. The new engine has 48idas on a 2L motor, so if you use to much
throttle allot at low revs you tend to almost flood the engine. Normal plugs would foul.
The cost is much higher (about $80 to 100 a set) but i ran them for 2 years with no problems or changing them in my old 1776 and will probably run
them for 1 to 2 years in the 2L. They were designed for newer engines so that they could be left in for long periods and reduce costs during
servicing, when you had to get through a heap of plastic to get to the plugs.
basic.... yes they are expensive, but worth it and you get the cost back over time.
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!

For a modified high performnce engine, hey why not, you might as well try them.
For a stock VW engine, use the recommended stock-spec VW plugs (Bosch, Beru, etc). They are much less expensive and provide all the performance you
need in a stock motor.

"Performance" comes from the extended gap. The extended gap means there is more likelyhood of ignition so you get less "misses". More gap is
possible with an Iridium plug because the finer point is better at ionising the gap.
The finer point also reaches higer temp quicker therefore is better at keeping itself clean, this means less fouling.

yep and for standard aps these suck, but high comp or boosted engines these work good.
Also a extra HV ignition system is a must otherwise a performance loss will be experienced.
